Jim McFarlane - Owner

Jim McFarlane, Owner and Operator of United Landscape Services, grew up in Hertfordshire, England and has lived in the United States for over two decades. Jim began United Landscape services with a vision of blending Old English gardening traditions with American charm and function. The ULS logo reflects the fusion of these two styles which is unique to United Landscape Services.

Scott Qualmann - Landscape Design/Build

Scott joined ULS in June of 2010. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. Scott found his interest in landscape architecture and the outdoors at an early age growing up in Central Ohio. He is fresh out of school but already has years of experience in the green industry under his belt. In his free time Scott enjoys traveling, skiing, and golf.

Sue Ellen McFarlane - Office Manager

Sue Ellen McFarlane grew up in the small town of Danville, Kentucky which is located 35 miles south of Lexington. She graduated from Transylvania University with a degree in business administration. After many years in the hotel industry, Sue Ellen took over the day to day office responsibilities for United Landscape Services in 1997. Her time away from the office is spent with their three very active kids, family, friends, and Angus – their young and energetic dog.

Todd Teeples - Install & Maintenance Operations

Todd joined ULS in June of 2008. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy and Turf Management. Todd has a vast knowledge of turf management, with an additional 15 years of experience in the golf course management industry. In his spare time Todd still likes to go back to the golf course and enjoy a round of golf.

Ashley Warriner - Account Manager

Account Manager - Ashley Warriner joined United Landscape Services in May of 2011. She received her bachelor’s degree in Landscape Horticulture from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in August 2009. Ashley’s interest in the green industry began when she was working at a garden center during her high school years. Ashley is a devoted Cheesehead, and when she is not working, she enjoys hiking, boating, culinary arts, and of course watching her beloved Green Bay Packers!
